Lego Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith minifigs
Revenge of the Sith: begining of light flesh minifigures
In 2005, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released, the ultimate and epic movie of the Star Wars prequels. This is an opportunity for Lego to offer us a whole wave of Lego Star Wars minifigs based on the characters in the movie. As the Clone Wars nears its end, the clone trropers wear their new Phase II armor, and Lego offers various minifigs ranging from simple soldiers in white armor to versions with colored markings from the different legions of the Republic army. The Separatists see the very first minifig of General Grievous joining their ranks. This droid figure uses a special piece of tortoise that allows the character's four arms to be attached. The Jedi are not left out with several new minifigs including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Luminara Undili which have the particularity of being equipped with the Light-up system: they contain an LED which allows to light their lightsaber by pressing on the character's head. Of course, we find Anakin Skywalker who complete his slow progression towards the darth Side with three minifigs from 2005: a Jedi version, a version burned by the lava of Mustafar, and a version transformed into Darth Vader. Since 2005, Lego has continued to offer new figures to update the first versions and bring more characters like variants of clone troopers, Jedi, and of course Palpatine / Darth Sidious.
